This race is about Freedom of choice >see video<. independent citizen run representation. Do you want to solve real issues or just hear more promises that are no more than garbage and noise? We need people who are willing to fight the status quo and given the mood of the country that has not been a problem. People have realized from many years of observations that we cannot afford the so called “experience” of career politicians any longer. Time’s up, they didn’t deliver, so now they need to step aside and watch what and independent citizen run representative can do using our founding principles and actual integrity as the guide. The hard truth is the more time we give them the closer we get to a Greek style collapse. We cannot leave that legacy to our children, to do so would be immoral. So we must say the price is too high and risk is too high. This year we must stand strong. We must act today in order to preserve tomorrow

I will not be a career politician; I do not seek a bright political future.  I am simply a husband a father and a true grass roots citizen seeking the opportunity to serve as a congressional representative by the authority of the people. I repeat, I will serve the people, and not lord over them. Governmental systems must have principled leadership. I strongly believe in and support term limits and will not change my position once in office. . I am not looking for the easy road, a cushy job, or an easy paycheck. I am eager to work hard with other like-minded citizens and citizen-representatives to clean out the den of thieves Washington has become. I will work diligently to solve the problems created by the self-serving longtime career politicians now dominating our Congress.

Reagan said – we ask much of those who have chosen to lead, we ask much, much more of those doing the choosing.

JOURNEY ~ The bend in the road is not the end of the road, unless you refuse to take the turn.

The two major political parties have been willing and complicit participants in the weakening of our nation and our founding principles.  They have been corrupted by power, money and personal prestige in seeking office and appointment they have yielded all pretense of serving as the voice of the people.   We no longer have the luxury of voting a straight party ticket. If we are to survive as a free and independent people we must vote for the candidates who will best protect the Constitution no matter what, if any, party affiliation they have.

My name is Jerry Odom,  I am declaring my non-partisan candidacy for Nebraska’s Second District Congressional seat. I don’t do this for power, money or fame. I do this to preserve our legacy of freedom and liberty as defined by our founding fathers. I do this so that our children will continue to know freedom as we have. 

Freedom is our most precious commodity but the two major political parties have limited our freedom of choice long before the primaries.  They effectively cut us out of the democratic selection process by only presenting to us their choice, not ours.  So ask yourself, did we ever really have a choice.  One of the Founding Father’s most vivid fears is that political parties would become a dangerous threat to freedom of choice.  Unfortunately their worst fear has become our reality. 

I am running as an independent due to the major parties having lost touch with the average American. I will follow the footsteps and advice of our greatest leaders; George Washington and Thomas Jefferson both wrote about the potential dangers of political parties accumulating power, taking vengeance on rivals, and tearing the Country apart. If they could only have seen how right they were. It's time to say, "Enough!" and to vote for an independent candidate with no political ties, no political debts, and no commitments to corporate executives or party bosses. America needs someone who can make common sense decisions without outside lobbyist influencing those decisions for him or her. I am someone who can and will say NO to the Washington insiders. I am someone who will work for the people of America and the future of our great Country. My allegiance is to the U.S. Constitution which was written for "We The People". It was not intended to require "interpretation" by lawyers. My principles are rooted in what our Founding Fathers intended. I will go to Washington for the right reasons. -- Family, duty to our Country, and to restore our liberties and freedoms for the sake of our children and their children’s children.

I am going to be straight to the point; we must stand on rock solid principles, always tell the truth, and stand strong against those that try to make us bend. My message is simple; we must restore American to the form of government laid out in the Constitution by our founders. We must embrace the teaching of our history and safeguard the culture of freedom. We must drastically cut spending, reduce taxes, simplify the tax code, and stop losing jobs to foreign outsourcing and illegal immigration by finally securing the borders,over turn NAFA and others and return all these jobs back to Americans.

The real power is in this text returning to basics.. 

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.  

NO where in this great document does the words party allegiance even exist or have any relevance or real meaning to our system of government today or ever. That is the truth. Most people have been sold a grand lie, about false allegiance to the two party system,  When as people our only allegiance is to freedom and liberty and the legacy that we leave our children..

Ultimately we must, we need to stand on own two feet and restore 100% independent citizen run government  without any outside influence. We should remove all primaries and reduce complex rules for elections, and have fair and open elections. Remove media bias. Improve and enforce equal time laws. The rule of law must be restored at all levels.
